Where to Watch Fireworks in Central Illinois 2018

This Fourth of July, don’t miss out on any of the displays coming to the Central Illinois area! There’s bound to be some fantastic effects, and the good news is you won’t have to be too far away from your home to see the show. These shows are brought to you by your eyesight, which wouldn’t be in tip-top shape if not for the dedicated staff at Bard Optical. We strive to give you the care you deserve so you can have a pristine vision for moments like these. Here are a few of the best displays to treat your senses to this coming 4th of July!

Peoria, Illinois

The greater Peoria area (including West and East Peoria, along with Peoria Heights) welcomes families and friends as they host one of the largest fireworks displays in the state this 4th! There will be festivities going on all day, along with the day prior on July 3rd. The display will begin after dark, and the riverfront on the Peoria and East Peoria side will be packed with spectators. Check out the information through the hyperlink above.

Chillicothe, Illinois

For residents who live a little further north of the Peoria area, there is a display going on in Chillicothe as well that will be held on the 4th of July. This celebration won’t receive as much traffic as the Peoria location, but the display is still fantastic nonetheless. There is further information listed about the location and other festivities being held on the event page.

Decatur, Illinois

For residents further downstate, there is a marvelous show outside of Decatur that is open to family and friends this July 4th. Events start as early as 8 am that morning and don’t conclude until the fireworks at dusk. If you’re looking for an all-day adventure, consider checking out what Decatur has to offer through the event page!

Normal, Illinois

A little further east we have a display going on that is far from normal, but still in the town of Normal, Illinois. College students from both Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan can invite their families and spend a day together prior to the show at dusk. There will be activities going on all day (listed on the event page), so bring your parents, siblings, and friends from back home!

Pontiac, Illinois

Another amazing display happens in Pontiac this 4th, with family-friendly activities preceding the show at dusk. It’s a great way to get your friends and family together for a few hours rather than a whole day celebration, so you can spend time together in the evening before ending with a wonderful show. More information is listed on the event page, so check it out and stop by for the magic!

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July, from the staff at Bard Optical!
