Stephen Colbert has a devoted following.
How devoted, you ask? The man’s choice of eyewear is a hot topic and has been for some time. In some circles, we’re talking about a full-fledged investigation. The only thing missing is a corkboard, with strands of yarn creating a web of connected photos.
To be fair, Colbert has thrown off fans and general viewers alike with his constantly shifting choices of prescription glasses. He’ll appear at one event in his classic ‘Colbert Report’ Kazuo Kawasaki rimless frames and then, without warning, he’ll show up at a different appearance with thick-rimmed glasses. Whether he’s being deliberate about what he’s wearing when or whether he’s switching it up at random, it’s two very different looks and has caught viewers off-guard. Some theories have speculated that he’s trying to appeal to a millennial audience with his thicker frames (a popular look associated with ‘hipsters’ and those who are fashion-forward). Whatever the reason, his fans want answers. Prescription glasses can be such a defining feature, it’s confusing to see them change so frequently.
But, on the other hand, who can blame him? Designer glasses are the perfect accessory. They can make an outfit. They can define a look. They can drive your fans crazy. If he’s found two pairs of glasses that he likes, that’s something we can support.
Finding the right pair of designer prescription glasses can be a game-changer for anyone. If you’re in need of new glasses (or are considering them for the first time), consider this a warning: you might just drive people wild.
